ovanför = above
före = in front of
runt = around
When talking about public places and events, the preposition på is often used:
Ska ni gå på teater tillsammans?
Are you going to the theatre together?
There are a few exceptions: i kyrkan, i affären and i fängelset.
The following expressions of place don’t take any prepositions:
hem = (going) home
hemma = at home
ut = (going) out
ute = out, outside
utomlands = abroad
