Otavamedia Ltd. has joined the WordDive business as a majority owner

A Finnish media company, Otavamedia Ltd., has bought the majority of the WordDive business.

WordDive Group Ltd. and Otavamedia Ltd. have together established a new company, WordDive Ltd., which has operated the WordDive business since July 1, 2023. Otavamedia owns 60% of the new company and WordDive Group owns 40%.

Otavamedia Ltd. is part of the Otava Group and it publishes 21 general interest magazines and more than 15 online services in Finland.

The ownership of Otavamedia significantly strengthens our abilities to grow the awareness of the WordDive brand and develop the WordDive service to serve our customers’ needs even better in the future.

After the ownership change the parent company WordDive Group Ltd. has changed its name to Master English Ltd. The company will now focus on the Master English business in South and North America.

All employees of the WordDive business have been transferred to the new company, WordDive Ltd. Other employees of the former WordDive Group Ltd. will continue in Master English Ltd.

The ownership change does not affect the WordDive service. Our language courses can be used normally.
