How can I create a subscription to WordDive?

Like its standard definition says, a subscription is a recurring payment for a product or a service. You can subscribe to the WordDive service for a period of one month.

You can create a subscription on your PC via the online payment system PayPal. Your subscription will be automatically renewed at the end of the first period. The same method of payment that you used the first time will also be used for the next payment(s).

If you use a WordDive mobile app, you can create a subscription directly in the app. In this case, the subscription uses either Google Play (Android app) or iTunes (iOS app).

Creating a subscription ensures you uninterrupted service and you will be able to access WordDive at any time. When using the subscription, you will always be protected from possible changes in the prices - you will be charged the original course price for all the recurring payments to come. There are no restrictions: you may cancel your subscription at any time. In this case, the automatic renewal of your payment will cease and no new charges will be made in the future.

What is the difference between the English matriculation exam prep course and the Comprehensive British English course package?

The English prep course is more focused on grammar and the specific themes required in the matriculation exam. The Comprehensive British English and Comprehensive American English packages have more vocabulary related to certain other themes, such as travel and business.

Another difference is that the Comprehensive course packages can be used even by complete beginners, while the prep course requires at least intermediate language skills.

When comparing prices, please note that the price of the prep course includes a grade guarantee.

In short, if you are going to participate in the English matriculation exam, we recommend the prep course. If you want to improve your English skills for another reason, such as travel or work, we recommend choosing Comprehensive British English or Comprehensive American English.

Why are the example sentences not translated word for word?

Translating the example sentences is a process of seeking balance between fluent, natural expression and clarity and accuracy. This is especially tricky when there is no exact match for a word or sentence structure in the translation language at all.

The goal of the WordDive method is to learn to think in the new language without needing to translate the words in your head. Translating the example sentences mechanically, word for word, does not support this goal. Instead, we use translators who are native speakers and who translate the example sentences as a native speaker would express the idea.
